Description of Product
CaliwelTM with BNATM
offers a breakthrough solution to the problems caused by the increased presence
of the microorganisms: odor-causing bacteria, mold, mildew, algae and fungi,
which can cause deterioration and discoloration on surface coating films.
CaliwelTM is composed of a revolutionary
multipatented, semi-permeable, micro-encapsulated formula representing a
breakthrough in modern antimicrobial* science.
CaliwelTM's mode of action,
BNATM (Bi-Neutralizing Agent)
utilizes calcium hydroxide, a naturally occurring antimicrobial* mineral.
In its micro-encapsulated form, BNATM
is effective against common micro-organisms that can stain and discolor
coating surfaces. CaliwelTM creates
a reactive film that inhibits the microbial growth long after is applied.
This is especially important where the presence of such microorganisms
on dried surface coating is undesirable or harmful to the surface film.
CaliwelTM works by attacking microbes
that can be present on dried films with its highly alkaline microbe-destructive
active ingredient.
Description of Active Ingredient
CaliwelTM with BNATM utilizes Calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH)2, as its active ingredient. Calcium hydroxide is a proven natural mineral for use in numerous commercial applications. It is frequently used as an important component in pharmaceutical and dental products, supplements, as well as the dairy, sugar and baking industries.
Calcium hydroxide, also known as hydrated lime, is a naturally highly
alkaline mineral used for centuries as a germ-fighting agent in hospitals
(especially before antibiotics), and in other commercial or domestic environments.
Its antimicrobial* effectiveness is caused by increasing the pH, or alkalinity,
to a level that is incompatible with the life of microorganisms.
Normally, calcium hydroxide loses its effectiveness against microbes
within days due to its rapid breakdown upon exposure to air. Caliwel'sTM
BNATM patented microencapsulation
process radically transforms and safely stabilizes the effective properties
of calcium hydroxide and preserves its naturally-occurring antimicrobial
potency while resisting degradation long after it has been applied.
